I visited Fuxin from 11 - 13 April– an enjoyable visit apart from driving snow during most of the second of my three days there. I saw six SYs in steam: 1210, 1378, 1395, 1396, 1460 and 1818. There seemed fairly steady activity on the company ‘main’ lines to/from the yard, although I tended to concentrate on Wulong mine (spells of intense activity interspersed with some long periods of quiet) and the long spoil tipping line up the hill (especially busy in the afternoons). I saw one loaded spoil train (not from Wulong) on its way to the open-cast pit – I guess I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I got around by electric three-wheeler (RMB 5 from the town to Wulong). Huamei hotel rather good, ditto the semi-attached restaurant. The hotel even has a coffee machine at breakfast time – passable stuff though the cups are tiny. In addition to the pictures below, more will be slowly appearing on my Flickr site: https://www.flickr.com/photos/82097736@N00/sets/72157651997315655/.
